There's nothing negative about not liking something. (Talking about it!) It is just a spontaneous emotion surfacing from within. And you can't control that. Anything that's honest can't be negative in my opinion. Some of those emotions are quickly forgotten and left aside. (I can respect that.) I on the other hand, like to translate those feelings into visuals, through my work. That's all. Plus if you care to look closely to most of the images depicted in my work, you'll see that for the most part, there's no anger at all, but a sense of sadness and disbelieve. Which is a totally different fucking thing altogether....

This is of course my own personal opinion, but quite frankly i don't care about what anybody thinks of the subject. I find
it fucking ridiculous that anyone that calls himself/herself an artist doesn't create his/her own art... I mean come on! That's just plain fucking crazy. They exhibit all this really amazing intricate work that some amazing craftsman (who no one will ever hear about, or know their name) did and the artist (yeah right!!!) gets the credit for doing jack shit. I couldn't possibly exhibit any work i didn't create with my own fucking hands. Simple as that. I understand if an artist creates something and then has that reproduced on a larger scale. In bronze, ceramic or whatever meterials he wants to. Or even have help on bigger projects. Other than that, no fucking way in my book. The creation of art is a journey. and a fun one to. You have a starting point and a finishing line. The satisfaction i personally get is pure and fucking priceless. It is like opening a present! When you have someone else creating it for you even if the idea was your's to start with. You miss out not only the fun but the creating process. Which to me makes it pointless altogether. It becomes a production-line type thing. A bussiness. That's not art to me. That just shows how fucked up the art world can be, and is at times. I believe that bad and/or good art is an extremely personal thing.
So therefore this shouldn't be taken literally or serious by anyone creating art. |
