What TO ME determines your professionalism is the content of the painting itself and not the fucking size. i paint very big canvases but mostly i paint on smaller scale... Why? 'Cos big canvas are extremely hard to sell. Most art lovers apart from the very rich don't have money to purchase even small works. It's not an easy task to sell a large work, trust me on that. An artist that paints on a smaller scale is as good to me as an artist that paints on a bigger scale. If anyone says diffrent is full of fucking shit. MAKE ART, MAKE GOOD ART. WHATEVER THE SIZE.
