If there’s one thing that aspiring artists continually destroy their careers with, it’s their own self doubt. But the thing to take away is that you do not need to create the world’s greatest masterpieces in order to make it as a professional artist. There’s a market for every type of art and you don’t have to be the very best in the world to sell your art. You just have to be yourself and paint for you and you only. Selling for me has always been nothing but a bonus. Think of the last piece of art you paid for. Did you buy it because it was the most technically amazing piece of work you’ve ever seen, or did you buy it because it simply told a story and connected with you? People like art that looks good, but they buy it because it makes them feel good. NOW FUCK OFF AND GO MAKE SOME ART. Love you all! ;)
P.S- Doubt, is the hardest thing to overcome, but the rewards are endless. You’re not good enough the day someone tells you that you are good. You’re good enough the day that you believe you are.
