My answer to that is absolutely none whatsoever. If you look at one of the greatest artists today, Damien Hirst you will see that he not only rips off art from everyone, but he also stands up for it...Now that may sound crazy but that's why i admire the guy so much. He is not scared to publicly say it. The thing is ...most of us do it but won't admit it. Yes you know I'm right!
80% of Damien Hirst work it as been stolen from other artists, with a bit of an extra touch to it (sometimes not even that)...I personally wouldn't do such a thing, but yes, sometimes i see a piece of work i love so much that it inspires me to go paint straight away. The one other thing that i never liked and i guess i never will, is to stay with one style and one style only. Believe me I've tried it, but it just doesn't work with me, i like to be free while working and to stay stuck to one style it just takes all the dynamic away, and that's not something i would ever be able to do. So what i would say to you all is: "let your mind go free and paint whatever you paint, don't change it just because it may look like something you may have seen before." If you like it and your heart tells you it's good then probably it is good. My own work varies in style sometimes, because i may be in a different feeling the day i painted any specific piece. I love my work because i set no rules upon it, NEVER WILL...
