There are (i believe) more people without money that love art than there is rich people who love art. And i'm not even sure if some of them even love art that much or if it's just all a fucking big investment. The thought of it makes me fucking sick. So what you artists are doing i don't fucking know. That's why i'm really diggin' what street art artists are doing and where they are coming from. More power to you guys... I make expensive shit of course, but i will always make smaller art that anyone can afford. And i ...and i alone will decide the fucking price. The art world made you all believe that if art is not expensive is shit and not worthy. I let you make up your own fucking minds. But to me is nothing but a bunch of rubbish. comon!!!! Lets get real here. Good art is good art, no matter the size or price.
Art shouldn't be just for the fucking rich. The thing that really makes me fucking disgusted is that most, if not all artists even the most famous ones started out without any money. Soon to forget where they came from. Shouldn't you twats make art for the same people you started out to be? Make expensive and large scale art if you want, i have no problem with that, but please think of others who may not have a million fucking euros to spend on a work of art.

I know I've said this many times before, but every time i hear it, it aggravates the hell out of me. Not to say it's a very stupid observation to make, whatever way you see it. So my question is simple and not at all out of frame. why the fuck do people keep saying or suggesting that i must be mad at the world? if someone commits an injustice or if you see something wrong and unacceptable whether done by your government, the police, religion or simply by an idiot who as nothing better to do ... what the fuck do you do? What's your first reaction? Do you go and say: "Wow that's just great...i like that!". I don't fucking think so. I should expect that any one of you would be pissed off!!!. Right? And if you would have the fucking balls, you would say or do something about it. Sadly, it seems that most people are nothing but a bunch fucking cowards who sit back and watch comfortably, while others fight the system and organised entities in order the live in a better world. I don't think i can change the world with my Art, but i sure will fucking try. To the very end. If you have a problem with that, so fucking sorry, but don't look at it.
I guess that my work is doing what art is meant to do... which is create an emotions, good or bad. However most of my work (and more so, my recent work) is pretty straight forward, it couldn't be more clear. So common sense alone should give anyone a straight fucking answer. So why fucking ask? You surely are not paying attention to the work, which is of course sad when you call yourself an artist or an art enthusiast. I would be way happier if people would just say or consider my work pure rubbish, that would make perfect sense ... I can live with criticism, I'm not effected by that at all. I never did! In this case however, i sense ignorance and hypocrisy as to the reason why. APOCALYPTIC HURRICANE BY GREEN GODS

Whether they tell you to your face, write about it, make videos about it, blog it, post it on the web or just gossip behind your back. You must learn how to handle criticism. There will always be good and bad shit coming your way. Happens all the fucking time.... The way i see it... is that both ways work perfectly. If, or when someone dislikes your work and what you're trying to express or say, it means that your art has created an impact on the viewer, even if bad... it surely means that your art as done what art is suppose to do, which is create feelings, good or fucking bad. Observations, criticism or evaluations of any kind should not be taken personally. Just my opinion.
Not sure what any of you think about the subject or if it makes a difference to anyone out there, but my friend ED Peintre asked this question and i really think its' a good one indeed. "DO YOU NEED TO PAINT ON A LARGE SCALE TO PROVE YOUR
PROFESSIONALISM?" ...Do you know what i really think? Big scale works look amazing without a doubt, but i don't think it makes you a better artist or makes you more professinal than anyone else. What TO ME determines your professionalism is the content of the painting itself and not the fucking size. i paint very big canvases but mostly i paint on smaller scale... Why? 'Cos big canvas are extremely hard to sell. Most art lovers apart from the very rich don't have money to purchase even small works. It's not an easy task to sell a large work, trust me on that. An artist that paints on a smaller scale is as good to me as an artist that paints on a bigger scale. If anyone says diffrent is full of fucking shit. MAKE ART, MAKE GOOD ART. WHATEVER THE SIZE. |
